وافق الاتحاد الأفريقى لكرة اليد برئاسة البنينى منصور أريموه على مشاركة المنتخب المصرى للسيدات فى بطولة الأمم الأفريقية لكرة اليد والمقرر إقامتها فى المغرب خلال الفترة من 10 إلى 21 يناير 2012 والمؤهلة الى دورة الألعاب الأوليمبية والتى تستضيفها لندن العام القادم
ومن المنتظر أن يقوم الدكتور سامى محمد على رئيس لجنة الفرق القومية بتقديم مشروع مقترح إلى مجلس الإدارة يحدد فيه التشكيلة الجديدة للجهاز الفنى لمنتخب السيدات تمهيدا لتجهيز برنامج إعداد جيد للمنتخب قبل السفر الى المغرب .ِ
